OMT is mandated by the State of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and KfW IPEX to monitor and report the progress of the design and construction of two large 9,500 passenger Global Class cruise ships and two luxurious Endeavor Class mega yachts. All vessels are currently under construction at MV Werften. The risk, key milestones and progress of the investment are continuously assessed and evaluated, and OMT provides the stakeholders with a unique insight and status of the construction.
Genting Hong Kong, a leading global leisure, entertainment and hospitality enterprise, has ordered two 342-metre cruise ships and two 164-metre luxurious expedition mega yachts at MV Werften in northern Germany. The Global Class cruise ships are the largest vessels ever built in Germany and will set new standards within digital consumer technology, entertainment facilities, size and comfortability. The Endeavor Class ships are the world’s largest and most spacious purpose-built mega yachts with ice class certification.
Investing over 300 million Euros, MV Werften has become a world-class cruise shipyard.
OMT is mandated to monitor and report the progress of the design and construction of the mentioned vessels. OMT provides the stakeholders with a unique insight into the shipyard and the status of the construction. The risk, key milestones and progress of their investment are continuously assessed and evaluated by OMT as an independent party. In addition, OMT is a technical sparring partner to the shipyard to guide and advise on specific issues during the entire construction of the vessels.
